Classic Pumpkin Pie
Let’s start things off the traditional way with this classic recipe. It’s easy to make and packed full of flavor.
Here’s what you’ll need:
1 (15 ounce) can of pumpkin, 1 (14 ounce) can of sweetened condensed milk, 1 (9 inch) unbaked pie crust, 2 large eggs, 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon, 1/2 teaspoon of ground ginger, 1/2 teaspoon of ground nutmeg, 1/2 teaspoon of salt, and whipped cream for topping
Step 1: Preheat your oven to 245 degrees.
Step 2: Whisk together the pumpkin, sweetened condensed milk, spices, salt, and eggs in a bowl until the mixture is nice and smooth.
Step 3: Pour the mixture into the crust and bake for 15 minutes.
Step 4: Reduce the oven temperature to 350 degrees. Continue baking for 30-40 minutes. (You’ll know that the pie is ready when you can insert a knife about an inch from the crust and it comes out clean.)
Step 5: Allow the pie to cool. Then, garnish it with whipped cream and serve.

FILLING: 3 large eggs, 1 (15 ounce) can of pumpkin (or 2 cups of fresh pumpkin puree), 1/2 cup of heavy cream, 1/2 cup packed of brown sugar, 1 1/2 teaspoons of cinnamon, 1/2 teaspoon of ground ginger, 1/4 teaspoon of ground cloves, 1/4 teaspoon of nutmeg, 1/2 teaspoon of salt, 1/2 cup of warmed Nutella (or 4 oz of melted chocolate)
Step 1: Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
Step 2: Grab an 8 or 9 inch pie dish and spray it with nonstick spray. Set aside.
Step 3: Mix the gingersnap crumbs with melted butter and sugar. Then, press this mixture into the previously prepared pie dish. (Only go about halfway up around the sides of the pie dish.)
Step 4: Bake the crust for about 10 minutes and set aside.
Step 1: Lightly whisk the eggs in a bowl. Then, add all of the remaining ingredients (other than the Nutella) into the bowl and stir until completely combined.
Step 2: Pour the filling mixture into the pie crust. Then, drop spoonfuls of the warmed Nutella into the mixture and swirl very gently with a knife.
Step 3: Bake the pie at 350 degrees for 40-45 minutes. (NOTE: Once the pie is done cooking, the filling will still look a bit wet.)
Step 4: Allow the pie to cool completely. Serve and enjoy.
